Prior to my surgery date of November 15, 2005, my highest weight was 347lbs. I was miserable to say the least. I would get out of breath walking short distances or up stairs, and I was beginning to have chronic back pain. I couldn't cross my legs or sit in "normal people" seats. I would get anxious going to new places thinking that I might not fit. Turn styles scared me to death. I was pretty miserable. I knew I had to lose a lot of weight and soon because at the age of 25, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and I knew that was only the beginning of my health problems.
It took me a year of research, nail biting, and soul searching before I finally decided to have gastric bypass surgery. Once I had made up my mind, I attended the seminar with Dr. Davidson's group. It was very informative and I came away with the feeling that I was going to get my life back. Everything went great. Dr. Davidson's experienced staff took care of everything and was so helpful and supportive.
Now, just over a year later, I am 10lbs away from goal. I have lost a total of 157 lbs. I feel great and have so much more energy and a more positive outlook about who I am and how I am going to live my life. Thanks to the great people at Nova and BSC Dallas - I am a new person, inside and out.
